Currently, Dr. Groff's practice is at capacity .  She is not currently able to respond to new patients inquiries.

Dr. Groff reserves about 30 percent of her patient times for patients that have lower income and otherwise very little access to mental health care.  These patients include the musicians and artists of New York City, single parents, and non-profit humanitarian workers who are unable to afford care but contributing so much to this great city.  

Health Insurance:

To offer the very best in psychiatric care, Dr. Groff's practice is out-of-network,  direct pay only, eliminating the restrictions of insurance companies.  Patients are encouraged to know their out-of-network benefits and to understand their deductibles before investing in treatment.

Kari Groff, MD is a well-respected NYC psychiatrist based in Brooklyn, NY.  She completed her psychiatry training at the University of Pennsylvania and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia where she served as chief resident.  She is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, the highest academic medical honor society in the medical profession.  She was elected by her peers to the prestigious Gold Humanism in Medicine Society, an award that celebrates a physician's ability to practice compassionate medicine and serve as a role model to other physicians.

Dr. Groff completed a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the NYU Child Study Center.  She is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in both adult and child psychiatry.  She is frequently consulted for her extensive training and experience in psychopharmacology, her gentle and appropriate use of medication, and her wellness-centered approach focusing on a patient’s strengths and goals.
